Welcome to the Park West Camera Club!
The Park West Camera Club is one of New York City’s oldest and most active camera clubs. Founded in 1937, PWCC is open to all who love photography, from beginners to experienced photographers. We offer a variety of programs, including photo competitions and critiques; lectures by professional photographers; member portfolio presentations and workshops; field trips; gallery exhibits; and an award-winning monthly newsletter.
PWCC meets weekly on Monday nights at 6:30PM, currently via Zoom. Interested photographers are welcome to join our Monday meetings 30 minutes before start time to inquire about membership. The club year runs from September through June, but you may join at any time. Dues are $60.00 per year while we are meeting via Zoom. Download an application or email us at pwccny@aol.com for more information. (Note: You MUST be a dues-paying member of the Club to register an account on this website.)
LATEST NEWS AND EVENTS
At our next meeting on June 1st, we'll be presenting a Zoom recording of the judging of our year-end competition. This year's judges are: Jack Kaminsky, a New York-based photographer whose work has been exhibited in various galleries and includes portraiture, street photography, and digital manipulation; Jane Schreibman, also based in New York, who has been documenting various aspects of life in India and other South Asia countries, including pre-Taliban Afghanistan, for many years; and Sara Signorelli, a professional photographer specializing in the fine art genre who also teaches photography to students with disabilities for the NYC Department of Education. Join us to see who wins the title of "Image of the Year"!
It's not too late to reserve a spot at our Otto Litzel Memorial Dinner on June 15th. Come and celebrate another year of PWCC photography and programs with fellow Club members. Check the latest Photo Notes or Weekly Reminder for details.
The winning and honors images selected by Peter Brandt at our May member competition are posted in the rotating gallery, above.
